Jenn and Denny of WingTransport in da HOUSE!

Early this year, I was contacted by the fine people at ABATE of Delaware about getting a listing on our calendar for thier Blue Hen Bike Show. I was more than happy to oblige, and one thing led to another and they ended up on our schedule as the first show event of the year! I can sum it all up in one word: WOW!

I had been to the Blue Hen Bike Show in the past, so I had a good idea what to expect. However, this was thier 16th year and the first time the event had been held away from the Blue Hen Mall. To say they have taken the event and revamped it is understatement! Instead of crowds of Mall Shoppers and warmed over hotdogs with a few bikers, it was all bikers and down home BBQ! Too cool!

Our favorite part of any event is running into old friends and making new ones, and this event had huge shares of each! Old friends from Midshore ABATE came out, as did Dave and some of his crew form Harwoods. Its allways great to run into real people! Bobbi and her husband were awesome hosts as were the entire ABATE of Delaware crew! Thanks for making us feel welcome, and we cant wait for next year!

The event drew out some pretty fine bikes as you can see from the pics... Im sure the awarding was pretty tough on the judges. The Bike Show trophies were quite nice and the first place winners in each catagory also got to walk away with $50 in cash! Great job guys!

ABATE Of Delaware has thier website at www.abateofde.com. They are great group of people, very friendly and outgoing! They fight the good fight in DE for bikers rights from being sure you dont have to wear a helmet (THANKS GUYS!) to making sure insurance companies dont rip us off! If you live in DE and want to get in with a great group of REAL people, be sure to look them up!

Id also like to mention we welcomed a new sponser to delmarvabikers.com at the event! The entire WingTransport crew were in attendance showing off thier awesome rigs. If you are looking to have your ride trailered and brought back from any event or have need for a car or bike pickup or delivery, WingTransport is the way to go! Denny has been in the business for years and definately knows how to care for your special ride! Check them out at www.wingtransport.com!
