Way, way back in the winter of 05' I started hearing Norman talk about his latest project... He was restoring a 76' Sportster XLCH from the ground up! This bike had seen better days, and knowing Norman it was only a matter of time before it would be back on the road... You see, Norman works with me at my 9-5 as the head maintence man. He takes alot of pride in his work and in his rides. I knew it would deffinately shows in this classic bike.
Its a bit of a bear, complete with kick start, but still a fun bike to look at and Im sure to ride. Distinctive features include the "George Jetson" rear taillight assembly and flame stitched seat. The entire bike was repainted with custom blue on black flaming on the tank and a deep deep blue finish overall. Norman brought it out for the Kidsake ride in 05'. That was one rainy day, but the bike got him there and back, hehehe.
Norman has offered to help anyone who wants with restoration work advice. You can email him at nbell5@verizon.net. Im sure he'd be more than happy to help with all of your Mr. Spacely, Fred Flinstone, Barney Rubble or even Dino the Dinosaur bike projects...
